The FCA is introducing a new Consumer Duty, which is intended to provide higher and clearer standards of consumer protection across the financial services sector, by requiring firms to embed consumer outcomes in all aspects of their businesses and put the needs of their customers first. This course will look at the Consumer Principle, the Cross Cutting Rules that have been introduced and the Four Outcomes the FCA are seeking to achieve.

The course will set out the Four Outcomes’ rules which require firms to:

  • What the Consumer Duty is
  • Whether or not it applies to your firm
  • When the Consumer Duty changes become effective
  • The steps you need to undertake

The course will look at key Consumer Duty milestones during the implementation period and examine how the FCA is encouraging firms to put clients’ interests at the core of everything they do.
