Why Launch an ETF with ACA?
ETFs offer the ability to purchase and sell shares on Exchanges at a known price anytime during the trading day (liquidity), to purchase ETF shares on margin, and to sell ETF shares short.
ETFs provide investors with the opportunity to invest in a diversified "basket of securities" through the purchase of a single exchange-traded security.
ETF expenses are typically lower than actively managed mutual funds.
Unlike closed-end funds, ETFs can minimize the discounts and premiums in market price often associated with closed-end fund shares by continually issuing and redeeming ETF shares in creation units; thereby creating an arbitrage mechanism.
Due to in-kind redemptions, there are no realized capital gains at the Authorized Participant level (primary market). Generally, due to low portfolio turnover, ETFs generate fewer capital gains than actively managed funds which results in lower taxes.
Currently, the portfolio composition file for each ETF is published daily. These index-based ETF holdings are designed to perform similar to it’s underlying index. On a daily basis, investors will have an understanding of the securities of the ETFs' portfolios and its respective weightings.
